Charged up and ready to hit the track, the all-new 2024 KTM SX-E 2 powers into the KTM electric-powered mini line-up with one clear objective - bridging the gap. Designed to slot in between the KTM SX-E 1.20 stability cycle and the KTM SX-E 3 electric racer, it provides the ideal platform for the youngest riders to take the next step up.
Features may include:
Using the full-sized KTM SX range as a guideline, the 2024 KTM SX E-2 features modern, striking graphics in typical "big bike" fashion. The graphics are also applied using an in-mold process, ensuring the best durability and quality for many years of offroad action.
Built tough to last, the KTM SX-E 2 chassis boasts an impressive list of construction materials. The upper triple-clamp, handlebar clamps, footrest carrier, and brake components are made of high-end forged aluminum alloys, while the lower triple clamps and the shaft are crafted from forged chromoly steel. The swingarm and skid plate complete the list, made from HPDC aluminum alloy.
Built around a center tube Aluminum Extrusion Frame, the 2024 KTM SX-E 2 features a new design concept that reduces the number of components needed, to ensure fewer connections for maximum durability and chassis rigidity. It's constructed from High-End Aluminum alloy, which also ensures it's free from construction, and strikes the perfect balance between strength and safety. The subframe is made from a high-quality glass-fiber reinforced, impact-resistant plastic composite for low weight and shock absorption. Both are painted with a black KTL coating.
Ready to tackle the most challenging track conditions, the KTM SX-E 2 boasts a non-adjustable, WP regular Hydraulic Fork with 90mm travel up front and a preload-adjustable 34 mm Hydraulic-mono-shock with separation piston on the rear with 70mm of travel. This is mounted to a HPDC Aluminium swingarm, the 34mm Hydraulic monoshock is matched perfectly to the front forks for exceptional balance and damping characteristics.
Providing the forward drive for the KTM SX-E 2 is a lightweight, maintenance-free 1,8 kW HUB Motor which delivers a maximum of 50 Nm. The "HUB-Motor-Concept" is void of additional parts like chains or sprockets, helping to keep the weight low and providing extra safety in the event of a crash. The controller is also integrated within the motor packaging, guaranteeing a spontaneous, but controllable power delivery.
An external charger supplying up to 500 W can be connected to any 110- or 230-Volt socket and plugs directly into the battery pack for easy charging. Charging time from 0 - 80% take approximately 35 minutes, with a full 100% charge achieved in less than 60 minutes.
