Service Intervals

You should have your BMW® serviced every 6,000 miles by a certified BMW® technician. See the example below of a K1600GTL/GT.

  • Change engine oil in the engine with a filter
  • Draining oil condensate hose
  • Visually inspecting brake pipes, brake hoses, and connections
  • Checking front/rear brake pads and brake discs for wear
  • Checking brake-fluid level on both front/rear brakes, top as needed
  • Checking clutch system and fluid levels, top as needed
  • Checking coolant level
  • Checking tire pressure and tread depth
  • Checking the ease of movement of the side stand
  • Checking lights and signaling equipment
  • Function test, engine start suppression
  • Performing vehicle tests with a diagnostic system
  • Checking the battery charge state
  • Safety operation check (tires, lights, signals, horn, clutch, gear shift, brakes, etc.)
  • Test ride and visual quality check
